What is NowHound?
NowHound.com is the internet’s first live media search engine.
Professional and user generated media is heading to the day where we will be able to tune in anywhere in the world, for anything we care about, at any time of the day. But let’s face it, it will be hard to find what we actually want to tune into. That’s why we created NowHound. Obviously, we want NowHound to serve as your guide to this new world, but we also hope it will act as catalyst for your media revolution. Sure, there are other media search engines out there, but that’s all old stuff. NowHound tells you what’s on now, and what’s on next.

How does it work?
Search for whatever you're interested in. If it's on right now, we'll take you there live. If it's coming up, just Set an Alert and we'll email you right before airtime.

I webcast live, can I post on NowHound?
Of course! That's why we're here. It's really easy, click the Post button and submit the information.

No, I really webcast live, like all the time.
If you have a lot of scheduled livecasts, or even multiple livecast channels, you should automate your livecast posting on our Developers' Page. After you've set it up, any changes or additions to the schedule on your livecast site will automatically update in NowHound's database.

What's the difference between On Now, Hot Now, On Next and Featured?
On Now, On Next and Featured are our way of letting you browse the most popular and most important livecasts. On Now are live right now, default ranked in order of popularity. You can join those livecasts in progress simply by clicking on them. Hot Now is similar to On Now but ranks livecasts more dynamically. What livecast are users flocking to at this moment, in real time? Think of it as your window on the live world, right now! On Next are the most popular livecasts that haven't started yet, they're default ranked by how many NowHound users have set reminders. They could be anywhere from minutes away to months in the future. You can re-sort any of our lists of livecasts, such as by Start Time, by clicking on the column head titles. Finally, Featured are important or interesting livecasts the NowHound team has spotted that we think our users may be interested in.

Okay, what about My Posts and My Alerts?
My Posts is the page that displays all the livecasts you have posted on NowHound. My Alerts is the page to keep track of all the livecasts that you have set alerts for, we will email you just before the livecast airs.
